RGB Image Encryption through Cellular Automata, S-Box and the Lorenz System

The exponential growth in transmission of multimedia over the Internet and unsecured channels communications is putting pressure on scientists engineers to develop effective efficient security schemes. In this paper, an image encryption scheme proposed help solve such a problem. implemented three stages. first stage makes use Rule 30 cellular automata generate key. second utilizes well-tested S-box, whose design involves transformation, modular inverses, permutation. Finally, third employs solution Lorenz system aggregate effect 3-stage process insures application Shannon’s confusion diffusion properties cryptographic enhances robustness resulting encrypted images. Specifically, PRNG bitstreams from both system, as keys, combined with results needed non-linearity complexity inherent well-encrypted images, which sufficient frustrate attackers. Performance evaluation carried out statistical sensitivity analyses, check for demonstrate scheme. On testing Lena image, MSE value 8923.03, PSNR 8.625 dB, information entropy 7.999, NPCR 99.627, UACI 33.46. shown encrypt images at average rate 0.61 Mbps. A comparative study counterpart schemes literature also presented showcase superior performance
